Garjelu is a traditional South Indian sweet dumpling, especially popular in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, typically prepared during festivals like Sankranti, Diwali, and Ugadi. These crescent-shaped delights are made with a crispy outer shell of maida (all-purpose flour) and filled with a sweet mixture of grated dry coconut, jaggery, and cardamom powder. Some variations also include poppy seeds, roasted chana dal powder, or dry fruits.
