Ariselu is a disc-shaped, deep-fried sweet made with rice flour and jaggery syrup, giving it a rich golden-brown color and a chewy texture. It is often flavored with cardamom and sprinkled with sesame seeds.
Especially prepared during Makara Sankranti and Deepavali.
Considered auspicious and often offered as Naivedyam in temples or rituals.
Traditionally made in bulk and shared among family and neighbors during festivals.
